Esther Nyberg

A native of Chicago, Esther Nyberg currently enjoys an active career of performance and teaching. Ms. Nyberg has performed in venues in the United States and Europe, including Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, Chicago’s Symphony Center, Preston Bradley Hall of the Chicago Cultural Center, The Harris Theater for Music and Dance, Cremona’s Museo del Violino, and Salzburg’s Wiener Saal. She has appeared as soloist with the Skokie Valley Symphony, the Chicago College of Performing Arts Symphony, and Portugal’s Orquestra de Camara de Cascais e Oeiras. Music festival appearances include performances at the Cremona International Music Academy (Italy), Young Piano Soloists (Portugal), Green Lake Chamber Music Festival, International Music Academy Orpheus (Austria), Washington International Piano Festival, and the Mozarteum International Summer Academy.
Ms. Nyberg is the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, most recently the 2016 Gilmore International Keyboard Master Class Fellowship, Chicago’s Farwell Trust Award of the Musicians’ Club of Women, and the Collins Award of the American Opera Society. She has appeared in masterclasses with Martin Katz, Jeremy Denk, Ingrid Fliter, Andrezj Jasinski, Peter Frankl, Boris Berman, and Simone Dinnerstein, among others.
Ms. Nyberg holds a Bachelor of Music degree from The Catholic University of America and a Master of Music degree from Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts, where she recently received a Performance Diploma studying under scholarship with Ludmila Lazar. Her past principal teachers include Ivo Kaltchev, WheDo Kim, and Denis Moffat.
